ISLAMABAD: The Foreign Office spokesman has welcomed the statement of the United States Secretary of State.

The spokesman said Pakistan would welcome the sincere efforts of all friendly countries, including the United States, to facilitate talks with Afghanistan.

According to a statement issued from the federal capital, meaningful talks require the Afghan Taliban authorities to make a clear commitment that they will take concrete action against terrorist groups active from their soil.
