KARACHI: Pakistani actress and digital creator Hina Altaf has made sarcastic remarks about the restrictions and lack of security faced by women in Pakistan. This has sparked fresh debate on Social Media.

Hina Altaf is a well-known television actress with more than 6.5 million followers on Instagram. She is fond of travelling and has recently toured Britain.

On returning from Britain, she shared a video that mocked the restrictions faced by women in Pakistan. She said it was her last day in Britain and she wanted to enjoy breakfast in London one last time before going back to Karachi, because after that she had to return to “jail” in Karachi.

She said that women in Pakistan can neither live freely, nor breathe in peace, nor enjoy freedom. She said it was becoming difficult even for women to walk in public places, and that being a girl in Pakistan had become almost a crime.

The actress described her stay in London as pleasant and said she had a very good time there.
