New Israeli attacks on Iran would be disastrous for global markets: Araghchi

TEHRAN: Iran has warned that new Israeli attacks on Iran would be disastrous for global markets. In a statement, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said any military adventure by Israel in the Persian Gulf region would have a devastating effect on global markets. He said this was a major concern for both gas suppliers and consumers.
The United States and Israel have both threatened to attack Iran again soon. A US newspaper has claimed that the United States is preparing short but intense attacks on Iran after the midterm elections.
Abbas Araghchi also said the brave armed forces are fully ready to defend the homeland, while Iran is giving diplomacy one more chance to succeed.
He said Iran is in constant, close contact with mediators to review proposals that could ensure Iran’s seven-day plan is implemented in less than a week.
