ISLAMABAD: PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that Pakistan is facing difficulties and the interior minister should come and brief the House.

Speaking at a session of the National Assembly, he asked the opposition to start using the power it has. He said the opposition must take on the responsibility of playing an active role.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said, “You did not sit on the finance committee, and this weakened the role of parliament.” He said that if parliament is strong, all of us are strong. The government has responsibilities, he said, and it must fulfil them.

He said that if the opposition leader wants to strengthen parliament, he should seat his members on the committee. “We form a committee on electoral reforms. If the opposition does not take part, what is the use?” he said.
