The Senate has passed a resolution to tackle rapid population growth.

Pakistan’s population is feared to reach 390 million by 2050, so urgent steps are essential.

The fast-growing population is putting severe pressure on food, water, Education and Health facilities.

Sherry Rehman said the provincial governments, parliament, the media, religious scholars and community leaders must adopt a joint national strategy on the population issue.
