Quetta: 10 shopkeepers arrested, one shop sealed in Sariab price control drive

QUETTA: On the directions of Quetta Deputy Commissioner Mehrullah Badini, Special Magistrate Sariab Izzatullah carried out a Price Control operation at Eastern Bypass, Jattak and Bangulzai Stop.

During the operation, 20 shops were inspected. Ten shopkeepers were arrested for violating the official price list and sent to jail. One shop was also sealed.

The district administration has said that action against profiteering will continue without a break, to ensure essential items are available to the public at the fixed prices.
