QUETTA: A meeting chaired by Quetta Deputy Commissioner Mehrullah Badini was held in Quetta to review the losses of life and property caused by the recent blasts. It considered compiling a record of losses to victims, buildings, vehicles and other property, and preparing a final report.

Officers of the health department, MMD, social welfare, the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) and other departments concerned attended, along with the Additional Deputy Commissioner General. They shared the information and records available to them.

The meeting reviewed in detail the losses caused by the blasts at Pishin Stop, Chaman Phatak and elsewhere. Officials briefed the meeting on figures and records on the dead and injured, affected families, government and private buildings, vehicles, shops and other property.

The meeting stressed that all departments should coordinate their records and compile accurate, complete and verifiable data on victims and losses, so that no affected person or property is left out. It also considered recording deaths, injuries, property losses and other details separately.

Deputy Commissioner Mehrullah Badini directed that the survey of losses and the compilation of data be completed as soon as possible. He said comprehensive data should be prepared by bringing together official records, field reports and other information. He said a complete and authentic report would help finalise the future course of action, and all departments should submit their reports to the district administration within the set period.
