Defence Day ceremony held at Government Girls High School Ormara

ORMARA: A ceremony was held at Government Girls High School Ormara to mark Defence Day. Assistant Commissioner Ormara Dr Mahnoor Barkat was the chief guest. Teachers and students took part in large numbers. Tribute was paid to the martyrs and veterans.

Dr Mahnoor Barkat said that 6 September reminds the nation of the unmatched patriotism, national unity, resolve and sacrifice of the armed forces and the people of Pakistan. She said that for the country’s progress, peace and prosperity, the younger generation, especially female students, must develop discipline, patriotism and a sense of responsibility along with their education.

At the end of the ceremony, a special prayer was offered for the security, progress and prosperity of Pakistan.
