LORALAI: On the special directions of Loralai Deputy Commissioner Captain (retd) Muhammad Haseeb Shuja, the district administration carried out a full-scale operation against illegal encroachments. The aim was to improve the flow of traffic in the city, end the difficulties faced by citizens and keep government and public roads free of encroachments.

The operation was carried out in several parts of the city under Assistant Commissioner Loralai Ahmad Zeb. Traffic Police Officer Abdul Jabbar, traffic staff and Municipal Committee personnel took part.

During the operation, illegal encroachments outside shops, obstructions on footpaths and roads, and other illegal occupations were removed. The roads were reopened to the public.

Clear instructions to shopkeepers

On the occasion, Assistant Commissioner Ahmad Zeb issued clear instructions to shopkeepers. He said encroachments of any kind on roads, footpaths and government land in urban areas would not be tolerated. Shopkeepers should keep their goods within the designated limits and avoid obstructing public roads.

He said illegal encroachments not only caused serious difficulties for citizens in getting around but also disrupted the city’s traffic system. Traffic jams often occurred, causing great distress to the public.

The district administration sternly warned all shopkeepers and those responsible for encroachments to remove them immediately and refrain from violating official orders in future. Otherwise, action would be taken according to the law without discrimination.

The administration said action against encroachments would continue without a break to improve traffic flow, cleanliness, civic discipline and public facilities in the city.

Citizens praised the district administration’s action. They demanded that action against encroachments in different parts of the city be continued on a permanent basis, so that traffic flow improves and citizens can move about more easily.
