PPP holds high-level meeting under Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, discusses meeting with prime minister

ISLAMABAD: A high-level meeting of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) was held at Zardari House under the chairmanship of party chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. It discussed the overall political situation in the country, parliamentary matters and other important political issues.

According to sources, the meeting also reviewed the situation arising after the imposition of emergency and governor’s rule in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Recent statements by Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman were also discussed.

Sources said a strategy is being prepared at the meeting for the expected meeting with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. Consultations were also held on the matters to be taken up at that meeting and on the party’s position.

According to sources, at the end of the meeting Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will go to the Prime Minister House with a PPP delegation, where he is expected to meet the prime minister.
