Pakistan U19 team determined to defend Asia Cup title, says Shahid Anwar

LAHORE: The Pakistan Under-19 team is determined to defend the Asia Cup title. Head coach Shahid Anwar thanked the PCB for sending the players to Oman early.

He said the players got four to five days to adjust to the conditions in Oman. He said they trained hard and all the players are fully fit and determined.

He said the team’s goal is to defend the title by playing fearless cricket. He said being the defending champions is an honour, not a pressure, and the previous success gives confidence.

Shahid Anwar said the Pakistan Under-19 team will begin its title defence with a match against the UAE on 6 November. The Under-19 teams of Pakistan and India will face each other on 8 November, while Pakistan will play its last group match against Nepal on 10 November.
