Iranian army warns new war will not be limited to West Asia

TEHRAN: An Iranian army spokesman has warned that if a new war breaks out, the conflict will not be limited to the region of West Asia.

According to Iranian news agencies, spokesman Brigadier General Mohammad Akraminia said US installations, equipment, forces and interests could be targeted wherever they were within reach.

In a statement, he said a future war could be much longer than the previous one.

According to the spokesman, the process of changing Iran’s doctrine from a purely defensive strategy to an offensive one had begun in the past, and it has also been put into practice in the recent war.
