Gwadar district chairman Shaih Mukhtar Baloch visits RISE Programme office

GWADAR: District Chairman Gwadar Shaih Mukhtar Baloch visited the office of the RISE Programme of the Balochistan Rural Support Programme. There he met District Programme Coordinator Zubair Hot.

On the occasion, Zubair Hot gave him a detailed briefing on the development activities under the programme in various union councils of Gwadar district, community development projects and proposed measures.

District Council Chairman Shaih Mukhtar praised the programme’s activities. He assured that every possible support would be provided for the effective completion of these measures at the district level, public participation and the cooperation of local communities.

He stressed that the local population, community representatives and beneficiaries in the areas concerned should be taken into confidence in the planning and implementation of development projects. This, he said, would ensure sustainable development in line with the real needs and priorities of the people.

He said effective coordination and mutual cooperation between government and non-government bodies were essential for the development of Gwadar district, public welfare and the resolution of basic problems. He said full cooperation with the BRSP RISE Programme would continue in this regard, so that the benefits of development activities reached all union councils of the district and the local population.
