QUETTA: An important meeting was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Quetta Mehrullah Badini to review the performance on the second day of the ongoing anti-polio campaign.

The meeting was attended by officials of the health department, the District Health Officer (DHO), the National Emergency Operations Centre (EOC), district polio teams, monitors, police and other officials concerned.

The meeting reviewed in detail the performance on the second day of the campaign, the overall coverage of polio vaccination of children in all union councils and the performance of field teams.

The Deputy Commissioner Quetta expressed displeasure over teams that performed poorly and were negligent in achieving their targets. He directed the officials concerned to replace the teams with unsatisfactory performance immediately and to take departmental action against the officials responsible.

He made it clear that no negligence or carelessness in the polio campaign would be tolerated. He told all officers concerned to ensure that the fixed targets of the campaign were achieved.
