GWADAR, PISHUKAN: Member of the Provincial Assembly from Gwadar Maulana Hidayat ur Rehman Baloch has formally inaugurated a new pumping station at Dugaro in Pishukan.

The project was completed under the provincial government’s Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP). It aims to make the water supply system in the area better, more effective and more stable.

The project includes a 60kVA generator, a 30-horsepower motor, a 45,000-watt solar system, a water tank with a capacity of 50,000 gallons, a boundary wall and the installation of a pipeline.

The modern solar system and the alternative power supply will help keep the pumping station working and the water supply continuous.

On the occasion, Maulana Hidayat ur Rehman Baloch said that providing people with basic civic facilities, including clean drinking water, was among his top priorities. He said practical steps were being taken in line with the provincial government’s vision for development and keeping public needs in view, so that basic facilities could be taken to people’s doorsteps.

He said the completion of the Dugaro pumping station was a part of this effort. He said it would improve the water supply system for the local population and the neighbouring areas.
