Tourism department invites entries for Balochistan Coastline videography contest by 14 November

GWADAR: The Tourism Department of the Government of Balochistan is holding the Balochistan Coastline Videography Competition. It aims to highlight the province’s coastal beauty, culture, historical heritage and tourism potential at home and abroad.

Participants can make videos on natural scenery, wildlife, coastal tourism, historical sites, local culture, traditional food, handicrafts, tourist spots and local ways of life.

Eligibility and technical requirements

Amateur and professional videographers, vloggers, content creators and students can take part. However, winners of the Balochistan Tourism Department’s previous videography competitions are not eligible.

The video must run for 5 to 10 minutes, be in MP4 or MOV format and have a minimum resolution of 1080p. 4K will be preferred. The video must be entirely original and must carry no watermark, logo or identifying text.

Participants must upload their videos to Google Drive or Dropbox and provide an accessible link in the online registration form.

Deadline and jury

The last date for entries is 14 November 2026. An independent jury board will review the videos received. Creativity and storytelling will carry 30 per cent of the marks.

The Tourism Department has appealed to the youth of Balochistan, videographers and digital content creators to take part fully in the competition. It asked them to show the world the province’s coastal beauty, cultural identity and tourism potential.
