QUETTA: The Balochistan Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (B-TEVTA) and the National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC) have decided to increase cooperation to give the province’s youth modern technical and vocational training and make them employable at the international level. The resolve was reaffirmed at a meeting between B-TEVTA Managing Director Abdul Kabir Khan Zarkoon and NAVTTC Director General Dr Hussain Bakhsh Magsi.

The meeting discussed in detail how to train as many young people in Balochistan as possible, how to provide modern machinery and equipment to technical training centres across the province, and how to meet the growing demand for skilled workers in the Gulf (GCC) and other foreign markets. It was decided that, to benefit from job opportunities in the Gulf states and around the world, Balochistan’s youth would be given priority in advanced technical training and in the provision of jobs.

Both officials said these steps were part of the vision of Prime Minister of Pakistan Mian Shehbaz Sharif and Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti to equip the province’s youth with modern Technology and scientific knowledge and skills. They said this would enable them to go to every corner of the world as talented and skilled representatives of Balochistan and play an active role in the economic development of the country and the province.
