US fighter jet strikes cargo ship in Gulf of Oman over attempt to breach blockade
A US fighter jet has attacked a cargo ship in the Gulf of Oman.
According to US Central Command (CENTCOM), the Panama-flagged cargo ship MV Ocean Mulika repeatedly ignored warnings. The vessel was targeted for trying to breach the US blockade. The attack disabled the ship, but no crew member was harmed.
CENTCOM said the cargo ship had left an Iranian port and was violating US naval waters.
