One-day CBC health camp held at University of Turbat with discounted blood tests

TURBAT: A one-day CBC health camp was held at the main campus of the University of Turbat, as part of its commitment to the welfare of the university community and to social service. The camp was organised by the Department of Natural and Basic Sciences and the Directorate of Student Affairs, in collaboration with Advanced Laboratories (Private) Limited, Karachi.

During the camp, hundreds of students, teachers and administrative staff were offered basic diagnostic blood tests at highly discounted rates. The medical teams strictly followed international biosafety protocols and used sterile, single-use medical equipment. Medical waste was disposed of in a scientific manner.

Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Gul Hasan praised the joint efforts of the Department of Natural and Basic Sciences, the Directorate of Student Affairs and Advanced Laboratories for the successful holding of the camp. He also congratulated the volunteer teams. According to a university spokesperson, the vice chancellor said that ensuring the health and physical and mental well-being of students and employees is among the institution’s top priorities.
