‘We will not forget Norway’: Trump hits out at Nobel committee over Peace Prize

Addressing a rally of Republican candidates in Syracuse, New York, Trump said he should have received the Nobel Peace Prize on behalf of America, but did not. He said the decision had brought disgrace on Norway and on those who award the prize.

Describing Navi Pillay as a person whom nobody knows, Trump criticised the Nobel committee. He said the prize had been discredited by a few ideological people who, he said, were opposed to democracy and civilisation. He also said America would not forget Norway’s decision.
