Six months into Iran war, Trump’s standing hit and US position in Middle East weakened

US President Donald Trump had described the war with Iran as short. But six months after it began, there are no clear signs of it ending.
The report says the US president’s ability to turn the outcome of the war in his favour also appears severely limited.
This is especially so as the Iranian leadership has realised that it can withstand heavy bombing. It can also gradually wear down the capabilities of the world’s most powerful military with low-cost weapons such as mines and drones.
According to the report, the prolonged war has also increased pressure on US military readiness. Trump’s public popularity has fallen, and the political effects of the war are becoming more evident.
