Five arrested for obstructing anti-encroachment operation on Quetta’s Nawan Killi Main Road

QUETTA: Acting on public complaints and the directives of Quetta Deputy Commissioner Mehrullah Badini, the Assistant Commissioner Saddar took action against encroachments on Nawan Killi Main Road.

The action was taken in light of the orders of Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti. During the operation, illegal stalls, structures and other encroachments on both sides of the road were removed. The public right of way was cleared and the flow of traffic was restored. Five people were arrested for violating official directives and obstructing the operation.

The Assistant Commissioner Saddar directed the officials concerned to keep encroachments under constant watch. He made it clear that strict legal action would be taken against anyone who set up encroachments again.
