Netanyahu congratulates Trump on Iran blockade and economic pressure

According to Israeli media, Netanyahu said in a statement on the Social Media platform X that over the past year the United States and Israel had made historic progress.

The Israeli prime minister said the “axis of evil”, made up of Iran and its allies, had been weakened more than ever. He said the American and Israeli people stood with President Trump against terrorist forces.

Netanyahu praised the US measures against Iran, particularly the blockade and economic pressure. He also congratulated President Trump on these policies.

The present war against Iran began on 28 February, when the United States and Israel attacked Iran. The attacks came while talks between the United States and Iran were under way and diplomatic efforts were also active.

After the attacks, actions by the United States and Israel and Iran’s retaliatory strikes widened the war in the region. Economic pressure and a naval blockade on Iran later also became a major part of the conflict.

Netanyahu described the present situation in Iran as the result of the policies of the United States and Israel over the past year. However, both sides have made conflicting claims about the war against Iran and its effects.
