35km blacktop road to be built from Union Council Barak to Landhi Sharif in Naseerabad

NASEERABAD: Parliamentary Secretary for Excise and Taxation and Member of the Provincial Assembly Haji Mir Muhammad Khan Lehri has said that a 35-kilometre blacktop road will be built under a mega development project costing Rs1 billion. The road will run from Manjhu Shori, outside Union Council Barak, to different areas of Tehsil Landhi Sharif. Thousands of people in the area will benefit.

The road will improve links between the rural population and towns. It will also make it easier for farmers to take their produce to markets. Students will have better access to educational institutions and patients to hospitals. Business activity in the area will grow, and a new era of development and prosperity will begin.

Public welfare and basic facilities

He said this while meeting various public delegations during a visit to his constituency. He said development projects were being carried out swiftly for public welfare, the provision of basic facilities and the solution of public problems. “Our first priority is to provide people with basic facilities at their doorstep and to put the area on the path of development and prosperity,” he said.

Haji Mir Muhammad Khan Lehri said that education, health, clean drinking water, roads and other basic facilities were the basic right of the people. He said that, in line with their political thinking and spirit of public service, they were striving to solve the problems of every section of society without discrimination. He said it was their responsibility to honour the trust the people had shown by taking practical steps and completing development projects on time.

He said steps were also being taken to create job opportunities for young people and expand economic activity in the area.

In line with the vision of Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti, the government was taking practical steps to raise the people’s standard of living, bring backward areas into the national mainstream of development and ensure shared prosperity. “We want the fruits of development not to remain limited to a few areas but to reach every village, every neighbourhood and every citizen of the constituency,” he said.

He added that the journey of public service would continue. He said development projects would be monitored and their timely and quality completion ensured, so that people could truly benefit from them.
