Turbat: Kech DC directs timely advertisement of education department contract posts

TURBAT: A delegation of education department officers, led by District Education Officer Kech Amjad Shahzad, called on Kech Deputy Commissioner Yasir Iqbal Dashti. The meeting discussed the overall state of the education department in the district, advertisements for contract posts, problems of government schools and basic facilities.

Additional Deputy Commissioner Kech Tabish Ali Baloch, Assistant Commissioner Turbat Muhammad Hanif Kubzai, Assistant Commissioner Balida Abubakar Mirwani, District Officer Education Asghar Ali and DDO Sherjan Baloch were among the officers present. Amjad Shahzad briefed the meeting on the needs of teachers and staff, available facilities and administrative problems.

The Deputy Commissioner said that providing quality education and creating job opportunities for young people were top priorities of the district administration. He said recruitment against the education department’s contract posts was under way across Balochistan. He said the necessary posts in Kech should therefore also be advertised on time so that local youth could benefit on merit. He added that transparency and merit must be ensured at every stage of recruitment.

He directed that problems relating to water, electricity, cleanliness, boundary walls, furniture and other basic facilities in schools be reviewed and resolved on a priority basis. At the end of the meeting, the education department officers praised the efforts of the district administration and pledged full cooperation.
