Chaman: Deputy Commissioner Bangulzai chairs meeting on polio campaign preparations

CHAMAN: Deputy Commissioner Chaman Habib Ahmed Bangulzai chaired a detailed meeting of officials of the Health Department and the Polio Programme in his office.

The meeting reviewed in detail the preparations for the next anti-polio campaign, due to begin in November, along with security arrangements and other related matters.

The meeting discussed several matters, including administering polio drops to all children up to the age of five in Chaman district, the effective conduct of the campaign, timely formation and training of teams, micro-planning and security.

The meeting also stressed the need for close coordination among the Health Department, the Polio Programme and other relevant institutions, and for an effective strategy, to make the campaign a success.

Deputy Commissioner’s directions

Directing the officials concerned, Deputy Commissioner Chaman Habib Ahmed Bangulzai said that all preparations for the anti-polio campaign should be completed on time. He said the polio teams and staff should be kept fully ready and that all necessary arrangements, including security, should be ensured.

He expressed the resolve that no child up to the age of five in Chaman district would be left without polio drops.

The Deputy Commissioner further directed that all officials concerned should carry out their duties diligently and seriously, so that the campaign could be monitored effectively, the performance of the teams reviewed and the set targets achieved, and the anti-polio campaign made a success.
