CM Bugti says delay in Quetta Development Package projects will not be tolerated

QUETTA: Chief Minister of Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti has said that Quetta is the face of Balochistan. He said the beautification of the provincial capital, the improvement of its infrastructure and the provision of civic facilities were an important responsibility of the government. Local and foreign guests visiting Quetta should get a positive impression of the province’s development, culture and beauty.
He expressed these views on Monday while addressing a meeting to review progress on the Quetta Development Package.
The Chief Minister directed that the projects under way under the Quetta Development Package be completed on time and that their quality also be ensured. He said unnecessary delay in development projects would not be tolerated.
He said special attention should be paid to improving roads, green belts, parks, drainage and other basic facilities in Quetta so that citizens could get a better environment and better facilities.
Mir Sarfraz Bugti said Quetta was not only the provincial capital but also the identity and the face of Balochistan. The city’s development, beautification and infrastructure, he said, should therefore be taken forward on a priority basis.
