Britain condemns Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia and Yemen

The British Foreign Office said the Houthis had targeted civilian property and basic energy infrastructure in Saudi Arabia, further raising regional tensions. Britain has earlier condemned Houthi threats against Saudi Arabia and plans for a naval blockade.
The Foreign Office said the Houthis were responsible for the current crisis. It said their attacks were unacceptable and also put Yemeni civilians at risk.
The statement said the Houthi attacks threatened regional security and freedom of navigation. It said the Houthis should stop their attacks at once and end the escalation.
Britain also reaffirmed its support for the right of Saudi Arabia and Yemen to security and sovereignty.
