KHUZDAR: Bolan Mining Enterprises (BME) has provided record merit scholarships of Rs100,000 each to talented male and female students of the Balochistan University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), Khuzdar. The aim is to promote education and bring out the abilities of local youth.

BME Khuzdar Operations Manager Nadeem Ahmed distributed the scholarship cheques among the students. BUET Khuzdar Pro-Vice Chancellor Dr Sohrab Bizenjo, Registrar Dr Jalal Shah and Admin Officer Engineer Raza Zehri were also present.
The BME management said the biggest investment, in its view, lay not only in the minerals beneath the ground but in the human potential above it. In line with this vision, BME is engaged day and night in welfare work in education, health, employment and all areas of social welfare.
According to a spokesperson for the company, the scholarships have been given to recognise the hard work, determination and academic performance of the students. They reflect BME’s long-standing commitment to strengthen cooperation between industry and educational institutions. They also aim to create opportunities for the next generation of engineers, innovators and leaders who will shape the future of Balochistan.
The BME management said this service to the public would continue without a break and the company would always work with interest for public welfare. It congratulated all the students who received scholarships and hoped that their success would guide countless other young people in the future.
Educational circles praised the BME initiative as historic. They said such scholarships would be a great support for poor and capable students in pursuing higher education, and that BME’s encouragement of students was commendable.
