Balochistan prisons department dismisses 10 absent employees

BALOCHISTAN: The Inspector General of Prisons, Balochistan, has dismissed from service 10 employees of the department who had been absent from their place of posting for a long time. The action was taken under departmental proceedings.

Legal requirements and orders

After all legal and departmental requirements were fulfilled, formal orders dismissing the employees were issued on 30 October 2026 under the Balochistan Employees Efficiency and Discipline Act, 2011.

The Inspector General of Prisons, Balochistan, made it clear that there would be no compromise on discipline, regular attendance and the timely and effective performance of official duties in the department.

He further said that action would be taken, in accordance with the law and without discrimination, against employees found guilty of negligence in duty, unauthorised absence and violation of departmental rules and regulations.
