University of Turbat holds two sessions on literature review and international scholarships

TURBAT: The Department of Natural and Basic Sciences at the University of Turbat organised two informative sessions to improve the academic and research skills of students. They were titled “Literature Review and Scientific Writing” and “International and National Scholarships and Opportunities for Higher Education”.

The first session was held in person in the smart classroom of the University of Turbat. The resource person was Dr Muhammad Haroon, a faculty member of the university. He gave students detailed guidance on literature searching, modern techniques of scientific writing and basic research skills.

Online session and message of the vice chancellor

The second session was held online. Dilip Ahmed, a PhD scholar at Zhejiang University in China, spoke in detail about international scholarships, the procedure for admission to institutions abroad and opportunities for higher education at foreign universities.

The main aim of both sessions was to bring students in line with world academic standards and to improve their research skills.

According to a spokesperson for the University of Turbat, Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Gul Hassan appreciated this effort by the Department of Natural and Basic Sciences in his message. He said such sessions would help students reach leading higher education and research institutions around the world. He added that such steps would also help the university achieve the goals of its Strategic Plan 2026-30.
