TURBAT: A key review meeting on the development projects of the BSDI Phase 3 programme was held on the directions of Deputy Commissioner Kech Yasir Iqbal Dashti. Additional Deputy Commissioner Kech Tabish Ali Baloch chaired it.

Officers of the departments concerned attended the meeting. They included the Buildings and Roads department, Urban Planning, District Council, Public Health Engineering (PHE), Irrigation and Sports. BSDI programme focal person Ijaz Noor also attended.

Additional Deputy Commissioner Tabish Ali Baloch said Phase 1 and Phase 2 of the BSDI programme had been completed successfully. He said 78 new development schemes had been included in Phase 3 for the development of Kech district. He expressed the hope that all departments would work together and complete Phase 3 with the same success.

The meeting reviewed all the proposed Phase 3 schemes in detail and discussed technical matters. It decided that, once the necessary procedures were complete, the projects would be sent for tendering within the next few days so that development work could begin on time.

In his message, Deputy Commissioner Kech Yasir Iqbal Dashti said there would be no compromise on quality, transparency and timely completion in any of the BSDI Phase 3 projects. He directed the departments concerned to use all their capabilities to complete projects of public interest to a high standard within the set time.

Under the effective supervision of the Deputy Commissioner Kech, transparent governance and a people-friendly vision, the pace of development projects in Kech district has improved markedly. Practical steps to provide basic facilities to the public through the BSDI programme are continuing rapidly.
