World Post Day observed with theme ‘One postal network, limitless possibilities’

ISLAMABAD (Atemad Desk): World Post Day is being observed in Pakistan and around the world. It marks the founding of the Universal Postal Union in 1874. This year’s theme is “One postal network, limitless possibilities”.

The day aims to raise awareness of the role of postal systems and services in daily life, business and the global economy. For centuries, the postal system has connected people, families and businesses. Besides letters and parcels, it now also provides financial and other public services.

Even in the age of digital messages and social media, the traditional post has not disappeared. It is changing along with technology. Across the world, postal networks help deliver services to remote areas, give businesses access to markets and help people reach essential services.

The day is also a reminder that the means of communication may change, but the need to connect people with one another always remains.
