Islamabad is not Somnath, federation will defend itself, says Khawaja Asif

He said, “Does their heart not weep for the blood being shed in Pakhtunkhwa every day? Are the Taliban their allies? Instead of stopping the martyrdom of KP police and brave men, they are spreading more chaos and hatred.”

He added, “Is the attack on 27 September, which they are talking about, an attack by the Taliban? Will Afghans living in Pakistan be part of this force? The federation will defend against it with full force.”

Khawaja Asif said, “We saw on 9 May and on 26 November how far the PTI founder and his associates can go to gain power. Now this man is stating his intentions. The people of Pakistan can judge who they really are.”

He said, “These people were enemies of peace, progress and Pakistan yesterday, they are today and they will be tomorrow. Whatever the differences, no Pakistani can speak this language. It is the language of Pakistan’s enemies. Is there any doubt left?”

He also said, “The Mahmud Ghaznavi who was going to turn Islamabad into Somnath has not even lasted 24 hours. He has run away, saying that this is not what he meant. The admirers of the PTI founder are just like him. He himself will not remember how many times he has changed his stance in his political life.”

Khawaja Asif said, “They are all the same. They are photocopies of one another.”
