Samreen Kaur breaks silence on criticism over relationship with Arshdeep Singh

NEW DELHI: Indian actress and model Samreen Kaur has broken her silence on the criticism and Social Media trolling over her relationship with cricketer Arshdeep Singh.

In a statement on Instagram Stories, Samreen Kaur, 27, said women face criticism on Social Media whatever they do. If someone keeps a relationship private, she is taunted for not being proud of her partner. If she expresses her love openly, she is accused of seeking fame.

The actress also rejected allegations that she is in a relationship with Arshdeep Singh for his fame or wealth. She said she has been working since the age of 17, is financially and professionally independent, and has travelled to more than 20 countries.

Samreen Kaur expressed regret over the trend of women criticising other women. She said unnecessary comments, assumptions and negativity are exhausting.

She made clear that she is happy in her relationship and will block those who post hateful comments. She said she should be allowed to live her life happily.

Responding to Samreen’s post, Indian fast bowler Arshdeep Singh backed his girlfriend and appealed to Social Media users not to interfere in the relationship.

In an Instagram story, Arshdeep Singh wrote that he is proud of Samreen and that she is a strong woman. He advised critics to focus on their own lives instead of interfering in the lives of others, and to spread love and kindness in the world.

Arshdeep described Samreen as sincere, sensible and full of love. He thanked all those who wish the two well.

It may be recalled that reports of a relationship between Samreen Kaur and Arshdeep Singh emerged during the 2026 Indian Premier League (IPL), after which speculation about the two began.
