MUMBAI: Indian political leader Abhijeet Dipke has publicly apologised to Indian Punjabi singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh. He had criticised the singer for staying silent on the students’ protest.

The matter came up again when Diljit Dosanjh responded to the criticism during his concert at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi on Friday evening.

Without naming anyone, the singer said no one should teach Punjabis to fight. He also objected to his film Sutlej being mocked on stage.

Diljit Dosanjh said he was an artist and loved everyone. He said that if he was silent, he should be left to stay silent. According to him, he supports everyone, but no one needs to teach Punjabis to fight.

After the singer’s remarks, Abhijeet Dipke apologised on Instagram and called him his younger brother.
