PCB denies report prepared against Imam-ul-Haq over dressing room leaks

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has said in a statement that reports of a report being prepared on Imam-ul-Haq are not correct and have no truth.

According to the Cricket board, the relevant institutions are continuing their inquiries into the dressing room leaks and other matters. However, no report has been prepared against any player at this stage.

The PCB said speculation and unverified reports about the inquiry should not be presented as facts. The board said any final conclusion will be reached only on the basis of information that emerges during the inquiry.

It may be recalled that national Cricket team players Imam-ul-Haq and Muhammad Rizwan had to appear before the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency over the alleged dressing room leaks. Both players were questioned about the alleged leak of sensitive dressing room information during the England series and about information related to mobile phones.

The inquiry is continuing from various angles, including forensic examination of the players’ mobile phones. The PCB has made it clear that no report has so far been prepared against any player.

Muhammad Rizwan has also said that he is cooperating fully with the inquiry and may hold a news conference on the matter once the inquiry is complete.
