Mohammad Rizwan not cooperating with NCCIA inquiry, sources say

Sources say the NCCIA contacted Mohammad Rizwan several times for a forensic deep analysis of his mobile phone. Each time, they said, he tried to cause delays and made some excuse.
Sources said that his failure to cooperate fully with the investigation is adding to suspicions. To finalise the investigation, the phone’s anti-theft lock and facial recognition lock must be opened.
According to sources, the NCCIA can unlock the phone with the help of various mobile tools. However, using these tools could delete some data, which the NCCIA does not want.
Sources said the NCCIA will contact Mohammad Rizwan again on 28 September. If he does not cooperate, he will be sent a written notice and legal action will be taken.
Sources said some people are provoking Mohammad Rizwan, but they are not really his well-wishers. They said the ICC Anti-Corruption Code 6.1.1 permits an inquiry, while the ICC ACU Code 6.1.2 also permits a criminal inquiry.
Sources made it clear that they do not wish to level any allegation until the investigation is complete. They said the aim is not to put anyone in the dock, but to make national heroes realise their responsibility.
Meanwhile, cricketer Imam-ul-Haq is cooperating with the NCCIA investigation. According to sources, the forensic deep analysis of his mobile phone began in his presence. It is hoped that the deep analysis of his phone will be completed soon.
Sources said that, like Imam-ul-Haq, Mohammad Rizwan should also cooperate with the investigation.
The NCCIA is investigating from several angles, including online betting, corruption and criminal activities.
