At the close of play, Azan Awais was batting on 29 and Shan Masood on 21. Saim Ayub and Abdullah Shafique were dismissed without scoring.

Earlier, England scored 453 against Pakistan in the first innings and took a lead of 320. Harry Brook (75) and Jamie Smith (69) were the leading scorers. Dan Lawrence, Emilio Gay and Ollie Robinson also scored half-centuries.

Debutant Raza Ullah took four England wickets for Pakistan. Josh Tongue took four wickets in Pakistan’s first innings. Ollie Robinson and Jofra Archer took three wickets each.

Pakistan were bowled out for just 133 in the first innings. Saud Shakeel made 43, Mohammad Abbas 21 and Raza Ullah 11. Eight Pakistan batters did not reach double figures.

Because of England’s first-innings lead, Pakistan trail by 268 runs in the match. The team must clear this deficit to avoid an innings defeat.
