Babar Azam begins batting practice, raising hopes of Lord’s Test return

Babar Azam, captain of the national team, has started regular batting practice after recovering from a finger injury.

Babar Azam had a long and intense batting session in an indoor hall with a member of the coaching staff. His chances of playing in the Lord’s Test have improved as a result.

A video of Babar Azam’s indoor practice was also shared from the official Social Media account of Lord’s. It has raised hopes among Pakistani fans.

The national batter injured a finger on his right hand during a practice match in Beckenham. As a result, he could not play in the first Test against England at Headingley. Pakistan lost that match by an innings and 103 runs.

Babar Azam’s return could be a major support for Pakistan’s weak batting line-up. The captain’s presence is expected to steady the middle order. It could also give the team an important boost to come back at Lord’s after the defeat in the first Test.
