OIC condemns attacks on holy sites, expresses full solidarity with Saudi Arabia

The OIC General Secretariat said in a statement issued on the Social Media platform X that the attacks frightened innocent civilians, desecrated the sanctity of holy sites and mosques, and hurt the feelings of Muslims across the world.

The statement said the Houthi militia’s actions against holy sites, mosques and civilian installations were acts of Terrorism that go against Islamic values, international principles and law.

The Organisation of Islamic Cooperation further said that violating the sanctity of holy sites was an unacceptable and intolerable act. It said those who commit such acts must be deterred and the way to such actions must be blocked.

Expressing full solidarity with Saudi Arabia, the organisation said it supported the steps taken by Riyadh to protect its security, sovereignty and holy sites.
