ANKARA: Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan has said the Makkah defence pact could prove an important step in defence cooperation between Turkiye, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. He said it could have far-reaching effects on the situation in the region.

According to foreign media, he said the agreement between the three countries would be a game changer.

The Turkish foreign minister also rejected what he called false information spread by India and Israel on the matter. He said propaganda about the pact could not reduce its importance.
