LAHORE: Pakistan’s Cricket team will face Sri Lanka in the final of the tri-nation ODI series on Saturday. The team is led by Shaheen Afridi and the match will be played on home ground.

According to a report, Pakistan have won 6 ODIs and lost 4 this year. In T20 Internationals, their record is 11 wins and 5 defeats.

In the ICC ODI rankings, Pakistan are fourth with 103 points. South Africa are third with 104 points and Australia fifth with 102. New Zealand are second with 109 points and India are first with 115.

This is the only ODI Pakistan have to play in the rest of the year. According to the ICC Rankings Predictor, Pakistan will move to 104 points if they win the final.

After that, the team’s position will depend on the results of other bilateral series. India will play five ODIs in New Zealand, South Africa will play a three-match series against Bangladesh, and England will play three ODIs in Australia next month.

If India win all five matches against New Zealand, Bangladesh beat South Africa and England win at least one match in Australia, Pakistan will move up to second place with 104 points. Otherwise, they are more likely to stay third.

On the other hand, if New Zealand win the series against India 4-1 or by a better margin, they will overtake India and go top. In any other result, Shubman Gill’s side will keep first place. The ODI World Cup 2027 is less than a year away.
