Metropolitan Corporation Quetta clears encroachments from Arbab Karam Khan and CPEC roads

QUETTA: In line with Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Ahmed Bugti’s vision of a beautiful Quetta, and on the special orders of Metropolitan Corporation Quetta Administrator Bashir Ahmed Barech, the anti-encroachment team carried out an impartial operation against encroachments in different parts of the city.

Immediate action on public complaints

Acting on public complaints, a full-scale operation was carried out on Arbab Karam Khan Road, CPEC Road and Podgali Chowk. It was held under the supervision of Metropolitan Corporation Magistrate Imran Zeb and anti-encroachment team Supervisor Sarwar Zehri.

During the operation, illegal encroachments, temporary stalls and goods on roads and footpaths were removed. The routes were reopened to the public and traffic.

Strict warning to shopkeepers

Magistrate Imran Zeb and Supervisor Sarwar Zehri said that encroachments causing hardship to the public would not be tolerated under any circumstances. They said that, on the directions of Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Ahmed Bugti and Administrator Bashir Ahmed Barech, the operation would continue without a break until the city was cleared of encroachments.

The Metropolitan Corporation administration strictly warned shopkeepers and traders not to set up encroachments again. It said that otherwise their goods would be seized, and legal action and heavy fines would follow.
