Martyrs’ sacrifices must be learnt from, says Kalat Deputy Commissioner at Defence Day rally

KALAT: Deputy Commissioner Kalat Engineer Ayesha Zehri has said that love for the homeland, national unity and the spirit of defending the country are being promoted among students of high and higher secondary schools through national songs, tableaux, speeches in Urdu and English, and hamd and naat competitions.
She said that, in line with the orders of the Commissioner Khuzdar Division, a special security plan has also been prepared for the peaceful holding of Defence Day events.
The Deputy Commissioner said the day recalls the moments of 1965 when the armed forces showed extraordinary resolve, courage and sacrifice. “We must not only remember our martyrs but also learn from their sacrifices. The security of the homeland is not only the responsibility of the soldiers fighting on the borders. Every citizen can make Pakistan stronger through his or her role,” she said. The SP Kalat, the Assistant Commissioner Kalat, administrative officers and a large number of citizens took part in the rally.
