QUETTA: Provincial Minister for Commodity Management Department and Chairman of the Balochistan Food Authority Haji Noor Muhammad Dumar met Balochistan Health Secretary Mujeeb-ur-Rehman. They held detailed talks on bringing the newly constructed Sanjawi hospital building into use soon and providing full medical facilities to the public. Focal person Haji Baz Muhammad Dumar, Muhammad Irfan Dumar and Musa Kakar were also present.

The meeting discussed equipping the Sanjawi hospital with full facilities, including beds, operation theatres, essential medical equipment, and the posting of doctors, nurses and other medical staff.

The provincial minister said construction work on the new Sanjawi hospital building had been completed, so it was urgently necessary to bring it into use at once. He said modern medical equipment, operation theatres, doctors, nurses and other staff should be ensured so that people of Sanjawi and surrounding areas could get quality medical facilities at their doorstep.

Proposal for Indus Hospital network

Health Secretary Mujeeb-ur-Rehman said a proposal to hand the new Sanjawi hospital building over to the Indus Hospital and Health Network (IHHN) had also been considered. This would allow the use of its available resources to make the hospital functional and provide quality medical facilities. He said all matters would be reviewed, including the equipment, facilities, doctors and other staff needed to make the hospital functional. He said the new building would be visited soon and the matter would also be placed before the relevant senior officials.

Haji Noor Muhammad Dumar said that once the Sanjawi hospital was fully functional, people of the area would not have to travel to Quetta or other cities for treatment. He said the government was using all available resources to provide basic and quality health facilities at the doorstep of people in remote areas, and making the Sanjawi hospital functional was an important part of this effort.
