Additional Deputy Commissioner visits polio workers’ training session in Usta Muhammad

USTA MUHAMMAD: Additional Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Ismail Lashari visited a training session for polio workers at Civil Hospital Usta Muhammad on the directions of Usta Muhammad Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Ramazan Palal. The session was held for the polio campaign.
On the occasion, he met the workers receiving training. He reviewed the training and talked to them.
Responsibility of polio workers
The Additional Deputy Commissioner said polio workers have a vital role in the complete eradication of polio. He said the responsibility for giving children polio drops and protecting them from lifelong disability rests largely with the polio teams.
According to him, the main purpose of the training session is to give workers full knowledge of the campaign procedure and the correct way of giving drops to children. It also covers reaching children door to door, communicating effectively with parents and dealing with difficulties during the campaign.
He urged the workers to understand the instructions given in the session with full attention and seriousness. He asked them to clear up any doubts by asking questions. He also asked them to improve their professional skills before the start of the campaign, so that no room is left for negligence or carelessness.
He further said that for the campaign to succeed, every worker must treat their duty as a national obligation and carry it out with full dedication, hard work and a sense of responsibility. He said that no child should be left without drops. For this, effective door-to-door access, correct identification of children, awareness among parents and full compliance with the prescribed procedure during the campaign must be ensured.
The Additional Deputy Commissioner said the eradication of polio is not the responsibility of the Health Department alone. He said the cooperation of parents, teachers, tribal and social elders and all sections of society is also essential to achieve this national goal. He asked parents to make sure their children under five years of age are given polio drops in every campaign and to cooperate fully with the polio teams, so that future generations can be protected from this dangerous disease.
