ISLAMABAD (Online): Allama Raja Nasir Abbas, Leader of the Opposition in the Senate, said on Thursday that Pakistan is facing crises at both internal and external levels. Speaking to journalists at Parliament House, he said the current system’s political and economic struggle, along with its use of force, is being waged against the people.

He said there are small Trumps in our country as well. He claimed the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf government was toppled out of this fear, and that today the PTI founder has become a bone stuck in the throats of those people. He alleged that people were picked up and women’s honour was violated.

He said that, in the end, only one government remained in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and even there governor’s rule and an emergency were imposed.

Speaking about law and order in the provinces, the opposition leader said that peace has not been established in Balochistan despite 25 years, and that lawlessness is now growing in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as well. He said the province has been handed over to politicians who have already been tried and found wanting.

Raja Nasir Abbas asked whether those who weakened the system would be able to establish peace in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and whether they could end terrorism and crime in the province.

He said the mandate of the people has been snatched away and their decision rejected. According to him, the current system’s political struggle is also directed against the people, and the government is fighting the public instead of serving them.

Concluding the conversation, he added that the current system is misusing political, economic and social power, and that this struggle for the use of force is also being waged against the people.
