SANJAWI: In line with the vision of Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti and the directives of the Livestock Department, a vaccination drive is under way in Sanjawi tehsil of Ziarat district to protect animals from lumpy skin disease.

Under the leadership of District Livestock Officer Dr Naveed, livestock department teams are vaccinating the animals of herders in different areas. So far, 300 cows and other animals have been vaccinated, while the drive is being extended to more areas.

Lumpy skin disease is a contagious disease of livestock. It can generally spread from one animal to another through mosquitoes, flies and other blood-sucking insects.
