JIWANI: On the directions of Gwadar Deputy Commissioner Naqeebullah Kakar, Assistant Commissioner Jiwani Tariq Imam Baloch inspected hotels, shops, medical stores and clinics during a visit to 250 Do Bist Panja.

Three hotels were sealed and fined for selling goods at inflated prices and poor hygiene arrangements. Expired items and non-customs-paid cigarettes were seized. Fifteen illegal depots were also sealed during the operation.

The Assistant Commissioner reviewed licences, medicine records and other legal requirements at medical stores and clinics. Banned medicines found there were seized. Shopkeepers, hotel owners and the owners of medical stores and clinics were directed to follow the fixed prices, maintain proper hygiene and strictly comply with all legal requirements.

The administration said action against those violating the law would continue without discrimination, to ensure the public gets quality goods at fair prices and safe medical facilities.
